"Being An Ally Is Standing In Your Truth And Admitting You Don't Have All The Answers"

PRovoke Media, Diana Marszalek, 7 November 2023

Representing the next generation of diverse leaders, the Young Changemakers winners of the WE Communications awards — Stephanie Lett-Dawkins, Kandace Williamson, and Jean Linis-Dinco — shared their insights and experiences, shedding light on the challenges and opportunities within the industry. Their concerns are far and wide, starting with the going practice in the industry of lumping different minority communities together under blanket terms.

Recipients of this year's awards went on to discuss what PR agencies are doing right and wrong when it comes to retaining BIPOC talent.

The Young Changemakers Award, co-sponsored by WE Communications and PRovoke Media, is an award for diverse young communicators who identify as women with the goal of elevating new voices and creating a welcoming and supportive place for everyone.
