Columbia Sportswear conducted an RFP process in Q3 and eight firms pitched, including incumbent Weber Shandwick who had worked on the account for six years. The brand hired We. Communications in January and work began immediately, said Scott Trepanier, VP of brand marketing strategy at Columbia. Six hours after the contract was signed, We. began helping Columbia Sportswear to promote its role with the first U.S. lunar landing in 50 years.
