Forest Stewardship Council

Forest Week Promotes Sustainability in Forest Products

Background

The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) brings together individuals, businesses, governments, and non-governmental organizations with a common goal: the protection of healthy, resilient forests for everyone, forever. We. created an international, week-long awareness campaign for consumers and businesses to promote the use and purchase of FSC-certified products and materials.

The Approach: Trust the Tree Integrated Campaign

A broad range of resources was developed, with many translated into nine languages: a multilingual key visual; social media videos, GIFs and editable visual asset templates; Teams backgrounds; mail templates; media walls; and banner toolkits. Campaign guide materials and presentations were developed for internal and external stakeholders.

The Impact: An Awareness Campaign Pays Off for FSC and Forests

The campaign drove high traffic to FSC’s website, which saw a 68% increase in user numbers. It reached up to 50.5 million unique users, with more than 1,270 companies, NGOs and organizations from over 40 countries participating. Globally, over 1,560 posts about the campaign were published, leading to over 68,700 interactions on social media.
