Choosing Safer Healthcare to Save Lives

Background

Unsafe healthcare is a top cause of death and disability, impacting roughly 4 in 10 patients in primary and outpatient settings worldwide. The Healthcare Federation of India (NATHEALTH) sought to equip patients and the public with knowledge they need to choose trustworthy healthcare when they visit hospitals and clinics and go for testing.

The Approach: Asking People to Give Their Word

Visitors to NATHEALTH’s new, one-stop resource hub found 70 expert videos and other resources to understand the stakes. Content published on earned and social channels boosted engagement and pushed traffic to the site. Visitors were asked to seal their commitment to a new behavior — choosing safer healthcare — with a downloadable pledge form to sign.

The Impact: Thousands Vow to Pursue Safer Healthcare

Along with high rates of engagement on X, LinkedIn and Facebook, the resource hub attracted close to 300,000 site visitors, with more than 6,500 people signing the pledge. It’s a prime example of how We. can work together with partners to improve the healthcare ecosystem to the public’s benefit.
