Sydney, Australia, 8 October 2025 - We. Communications, one of Australia’s leading communication agencies, has a new look leadership team, underscoring the agency’s commitment to helping brands stay relevant in a fast-changing world.

The Executive Management Team (EMT) is tasked with driving the next stage of growth for the agency, coming on the back of a string of recent wins across the agency’s health, technology, corporate and integrated marketing practices.

Commenting on the new team, We. Managing Director, Australia, Dan Woods, says: “The world of PR and communication - like the world in general - continues to face huge challenges and change. The value of our leaders’ experience and wisdom, combined with their understanding of the challenges our clients face and the influencers of their audiences, has never been more important.”

The revamped leadership team includes:

  • Summer Reading - Group Head Corporate & Financial Communications: Summer recently joined We. from Icon and has over 15 years’ communications experience across geographies and agencies, having previously held senior roles at Thrive, Ketchum and Expedia Group. Summer is responsible for driving growth and delivering strategic counsel across the professional services, corporate and financial communication sectors. She will also head up We.’s issues and crisis offering, working alongside MD, Dan Woods.
  • Sarah Tu - Group Head, Integrated Marketing: Sarah rejoins We. following a stint at Lion in the newly created role of Group Head, Integrated Marketing. Sarah brings more than a decade of experience working across integrated communications, media, social, strategy and creative.
  • Jasmine Mayo, Head of Technology: Jasmine has joined We. from boutique Technology PR agency Espresso Communications. Jasmine brings with her more than 15 years of technology communications experience, both agency and in-house, across B2B and B2C comms. She has led communication strategies for over 150 technology-driven projects across her career and is focused on driving corporate and brand communications within We.’s long-standing technology practice.
  • David Leahy, General Manager and Acting Head, Health: David continues in his role of General Manager, which he has held since 2023. He has added We.’s Health practice to his remit while Emma Hussey is on maternity leave. David has almost 20 years’ communication experience across agency and in-house and was We.’s first head of health in Australia from 2012-2016.

Emma Hussey (maternity leave) maintains her substantive role as Head of Health, having built a strong practice and reputation with clients across the health spectrum.

John Egan retains his role leading We.’s finance function, having just completed five years with the agency.
