Engineering Performance: From Olympic Gold to Brand Authority

Background

At Milano Cortina 2026, Chinese snowboarder Su Yimingdelivered a defining performance, claiming the top spot on his 22nd birthday. This “birthday gold” marked his rise from teenage prodigyat the Beijing Olympics four years earlier to proven champion.

Leaning into Su’s win, adidas set out to decode thefoundations of elite results—from therole of technology in enabling top-tier performance to the brand’s commitment to winter sports innovationand the ability to convert apeak moment into sustained category authority.

The Approach:

adidas’ campaign began with a simple conviction: Gold isnever accidental. Elite performance is shaped as much by innovation as it is bythe athlete; Su Yiming’s comeback story became the human expression of “YOU GOTTHIS,” while adidas’ innovation provided the proof behind it.

We.shaped a marketing campaign into four integrated pillars:

  • Media Outreach:Establish Su’s comeback as a defining story of resilience
  • KOL Engagement:Turn the moment into something people feel and relate to
  • Brand and Tech Integration: Connect innovation to what audiences see on the slope
  • Product Co-Creation:Convert athlete experience to products with real authority

The Impact:

“YOU GOT THIS” elevated a breakthrough Olympic win into enduring brand leadership, cementing adidas as a pioneer in sport innovation and the authority behind science-backed performance.

By capturing diversity across athlete journeys, we strengthened the “YGT” ethos and, through it, powered adidas’ growth. The campaign generated over 469M impressions, 109K+ engagements, 73 media placements and CNY 2.49M+ in PR value.
