Biogen

Patient Stories for Biogen

Background

One of the world’s leading biotechnology companies, Biogen is committed to enabling people with highly complex diseases to live a self-determined life. The company aimed to put people with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) in focus to authentically and emotionally highlight their life situations.

The Approach: Portray a Full Picture of Patients

Patients representing the diverse complexities of the condition were recruited to share their personal stories about living with and managing the disease. We. organized photo and video shoots, conducted patient interviews, and managed production. Special attention was given to the individual needs of patients to ensure a professional, time-efficient and pleasant interview experience.

The Impact: Enduring Stories Worth Hearing and Seeing

These personal stories, produced on a very short deadline, portray the everyday lives of patients and share how they cope with the disease via photos, videos, social media snippets and written narratives. They now live on internal and external channels of Biogen Global, a testament to how the company puts patients at the center of everything they do.

"The videos and photos turned out really great! I generally enjoyed working with you and Biogen, and I hope there will be more projects like this in the future."
